Media Tasting - Revolution Coffee

To kickstart my first official post I shall blog about what I felt to be one of the best food tasting session! I will be posting a couple more of tastings I enjoyed before starting on my own reviews. Pardon me if the picture quality looks bad, I used my phone for the pictures. So we had the tasting session at Revolution Coffee.

A picture of the surroundings, it was quite hard to get there though, I just took a cab there.

The boss personally conducted a coffee appreciation class for us, with all the background information on coffee making and the differences between the beans. We got to try hands on and it was quite fun, brewing and trying out our own coffee. You'll be surprise the same beans used will taste vastly different from that brewed of another person. I tried Colombian coffee beans and the boss said I brought out the fruity side of the beans, yay!

Corn fritters - I felt it was a little too airy, there were chili bits and evidently corn bits in it which I love. The salsa was really good too, everyone was raving about it. It opened up my appetite and there was also some spiciness in it, a different kind from the chili bits.

Fusion; Otah & Egg - Oh boy this was simply delish!! The egg was ever so soft and the otah's flavor wasn't too overpowering which I like. Must have, must try if you happen to be there.

Salad - Chicken meat with peanut sauce and really mini ketupat. Interesting idea to fill the working class but I'm not a big fan of salad so this is not for me.

Corn beef hash - This was the bomb, just look at them eggs staring right back at you. The corn beef hash was just fried to perfection with the fillings in it being really mashed evenly, making the eating experience even better. Pairing it with the egg yolk dripping down is just every egg lovers paradise. My favorite dish out of this whole tasting, and this is also a must try must have!

One more shot for the egg lovers.

Mac and Cheese was gooey and soft enough, I had some bad experiences with Mac and Cheese which were so awful I was scarred. Anyway this is made up of 3 different kinds of cheese which explains how yummy it taste because the combination works well with each other.

Salted gula melaka pancakes - Fresh coconut cream, warm caramelized bananas and of course salted gula melaka were doused over them fluffy pancakes. What could be more awesome than having a well curated dessert to end off a meal? Warm desserts are normally not my thing so only the exceptional ones gets to me. Overall I think the food is of quality and this place is worth a visit.
